another bailout?
president bush and president-elect obama are scheduled to meet each other for the first time tomorrow to discuss such issues as the economy, the two wars in the middle east, and the energy crisis and to facilitate the transition of power. another issue that they plan to discuss is a possible $25 billion bailout of the auto industry including chrysler, ford, and general motors. is this really what it has come to, i understand that the auto industry in addition to other major industries are essential to the progress of our nation but how long will this go on. everytime a major industry begins to do poorly, the government will use taxpayer's money to bail them out. what kind of message does this send to the private sector and how healthy is this for our economy.
